So,
It all began when five indivduals at last understood that they may be stronger in numbers. Rather than creating games with different labels, we chose one: Kaleidoskop.
2004
Svante, Olle, Tobias and Andreas started playing RPGs together in Linköping.
2006
Martin joined up with the group when he moved town.
2007
Svante needed a label for a Terone cover-mockup. He chose Kaleidoskop in the belief that it is how it is spelled in Swedish. (It’s not.)
2008
During a brief period, Kaleidskop published a torrent of games: The Supercrew, Nostalgia, Haragada, and 7 små spel.
2011
The catalogue was expanded with Magneter och Mirakel. Thus began the years of non-publishing.
2012-2019
Although both creation and playing continued, hardly nothing was published during these years. All members of the group struggled with their own games or pursued other projects. A first draft of the second edition of Nostalgia was created during those years, almost completed, but just almost, as well as the framework for a new edition of Haragada.
2020
With The World Broke, Svante cleared a path to more minimalistic games for the group.
2021
One of them, A World Mending, was Martin’s return to RPG creating.
2023
Without any thought of selfreservation, Tobias, Svante, and Martin participated in the #dungeon23 challenge. Tobias did best.
2024
The Kaleidoskop Collective celebrated 20 years of playing together with a convention with invited guests, during which 1D100 Years was released.
2026
The second edition of Nostalgia will be the return of Kaleidoskop.
